Ingredients:
1/2 jar marshmallow creme (it does not contain gelatin) OR 1/2 bag halal marshmallows
3 cups rice crispy cereal
1.5 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Peanute Butter/Nutella/Chocolate chips (optional if you want different flavors)
What to do...
1. On low heat, melt the butter in a medium sized saucepan.
2. Once melted, put in the marshmallow creme/marshmallows.
3. Stir until marshmallows are completely melted and well blended with the butter. This may take a few minutes. In the end, it should look like white creamy frosting. Add any other desired ingredients for flavoring (Peanute Butter/Nutella/Chocolate chips)
4. Add the vanilla extract and continue stirring.
5. Once the mixture is melted, move to a cool surface.
6. Add the rice crispy cereal to the sauce pan. Mix. Make sure all pieces of rice crispies are well coated with the marshmallow mixture.
7. Transfer the rice crispy mixture into a lightly buttered baking dish. Using a spatula, firmly pack the rice crispies in the baking dish.
8. Let cool for 15-20 minutes. Cut into squares or any desired shape.
