A great breakfast food or side dish.
Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas or garbanzo beans (same thing)
1.5 tablespoons tahini paste
1 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon garlic
1 table spoon olive oil
summac
1/4 cup water (more or less depedning on how thick/thin you like it.)
1-2 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on how lemon-y you like it)
salt and pepper to taste
What to do..
1. In a blender or food processor, blend all ingredients except summac until smooth. It takes quite a while for the mixture to become smooth and creamy, so keep blending until it reaches a desired consistency.
2. Taste. Add more lemon juice/salt/water if you want the hummus to be saltier, more lemon-y, or creamier.
3. Sprinkle summac and drizzle olive oil on top.
